Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Verification Specialist to audit claims, invoices, and payroll to ensure accuracy, authorization, and complete documentation. Responsibilities include:
- Examining and auditing financial claims and payroll records;
- Ensuring expenditures comply with federal, state, and departmental laws, policies, and procedures;
- Verifying coding and funding allocations to correct appropriation symbols, program activities, and funding sources;
- Reconciling invoices with purchase orders and confirming receipt of goods or services;
- Investigating and resolving discrepancies before payment;
- Maintaining financial records and assisting with complex claims under supervision.
