Job Description
We are seeking an Environmental and Social Safeguards Specialist to ensure project adherence to environmental and social policies, lead safeguards assessments, and monitor implementation of mitigation measures.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting environmental and social impact assessments and preparing required safeguards documentation.
- Coordinating stakeholder consultations and community engagement processes.
- Monitoring compliance and reporting on safeguards performance to project teams and financiers.
Qualifications: bachelor’s degree in environmental science, social development, or a related field; minimum five years’ relevant experience; familiarity with safeguard frameworks and strong communication skills. Candidates should be detail-oriented, proactive, and able to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
